Green Report Card

From the start, Synergy Berlin has been thoughtfully planned to minimise environmental impact. To enhance Berlin’s reputation as one of Europe’s leaders in green initiatives, Synergy has implemented a wide range of additional programs.

Transportation

Berlin’s Environmental Taxi Service was launched to reduce the environmental impact of city traffic. The natural gas taxis and hybrid taxis operate throughout Berlin. Regular taxis can be taken from the airport to the Estrel Convention Center and Hotel.

The Cirlce Line, a convenient and environmentally friendly train, has stops at the Estrel Convention Center and Hotel, the andels Hotel, and the Landsberger Allee hotel. It is a convenient way to travel between the hotels, the Estrel and downtown Berlin.

Conference setup

Summit and Synergy is using ethically sourced materials and products throughout the conference, most of which are reusable and recyclable. We are using local suppliers where possible to reduce our carbon footprint.

Signage

Synergy is using recyclable signs throughout and all of our signage will be produced locally to avoid transport emissions. Wherever possible electronic versions of documents and handouts will be provided, and any unwanted paper and other event materials will be recycled or donated to local schools and charities.

Food and beverage

The Estrel Convention Center composts all food waste and has recycle bins throughout venue.
